A Colorful, Joyful Wedding at The Troutdale House | Troutdale, Oregon

Megan and Chris's wedding at The Troutdale House was a colorful, joyful celebration.

Let's talk about the suit first because we have to. Chris wore the Vibrant Florida — a custom embroidered sage green jacket absolutely covered in bold, hand-stitched florals in red, orange, and yellow, by the incredible Addicted Bespoken. I am obsessed with it. Completely, entirely obsessed. It was one of the most joyful, personality-forward groom looks I have ever photographed, and it set the tone for everything — this was a wedding where people came as themselves, fully and without apology.

Megan was stunning in a soft off-the-shoulder white gown with a delicate emerald green jewel belt, dark hair with a pixie cut and a veil, red lips, a nose ring, and tattoos peeking out from under lace sleeves. They looked radiant — their elegance cutting through Chris's color, his color bringing out their boldness. Together, they were electric.

The bouquet deserves its own moment. A wild, warm cascade of deep reds, burnt oranges, creamy whites, and peach dahlias with a tiny pink butterfly and a locket tucked inside.

The ceremony was held in the lush, green-canopied wisteria courtyard of The Troutdale House — a historic three-story venue nestled in downtown Troutdale just twenty minutes from Portland. String lights overhead, a living wall of trailing greenery as the backdrop, guests blowing bubbles as Megan and Chris walked back up the aisle together. The whole thing was alive and warm and completely them.

Everywhere you looked, details were doing exactly what details should — telling you something true about these two people. The rings were a study in contrast: a sleek black band alongside a gold ring with a warm citrine stone, photographed nestled together in a pink dahlia. A pearl-wrapped bouquet handle with a tiny disco ball beside it on the moss. A buttercream cake topped with ‘til death.’

Inside, the reception came fully alive. Twinkle lights and chandeliers and colored uplighting, a dance floor that was packed from the first song, a human arch tunnel that Megan and Chris ran through laughing with a champagne glass in hand. The bridal party in deep green, burnt orange, and mustard yellow looked like a garden come to life.

This day was inclusive, joyful, completely itself, and absolutely gorgeous from every angle.
