A Snowy Cabin Wedding in Cascade, Idaho | Justin & Brianna
Some weddings happen in ballrooms. Some happen in vineyards. And some happen on a snow-covered cabin porch in the mountains of Idaho in the middle of winter, with a border collie in a bandana serving as ring bearer and two snowmobiles parked out front with a "Just Married" banner strung between them.
This was that wedding. And it was absolutely perfect.
Cascade, Idaho, in winter, is the kind of place that makes you understand why people fall in love with the Pacific Northwest and never leave. Snow-heavy pines pressing in from every direction, the whole world quiet and white and still. Justin and Brianna gathered their closest family and friends on the deck of a mountain cabin and got married exactly the way they wanted to — surrounded by the landscape they love, dressed for the mountains, completely themselves.
Brianna wore a stunning long-sleeve lace gown — delicate floral appliqué running down sheer sleeves, her bouquet a simple arrangement of white hydrangeas and eucalyptus that felt just right against all that snow. She was radiant. The kind of bride who looks like she belongs exactly where she is. Justin looked at her the way you hope someone will look at you — like he couldn't believe his luck and also absolutely knew what he was doing.
The ceremony was intimate and full of laughter. Their dog — dressed for the occasion in a proper "ring bearer" bandana — sat front and center like he had been rehearsing for weeks. After the vows, they posed between their two snowmobiles in the driveway, tin cans scattered in the snow below, banner swinging in the cold air. It was the most them possible exit and I loved every second of it.
