Boudoir photography is one of the most personal things I get to do with my camera. There's no event to document, no timeline to follow, no guests to wrangle. It's just one person, choosing to be seen — fully, intentionally, on their own terms. Getting that right requires trust, and I never take it lightly.

Kelli gave me that trust completely, and she was absolutely stunning.

We spent the afternoon at a gorgeous private residence — warm tones, ornate furniture, velvet and gold, and that particular kind of moody, cinematic light that turns every corner into a portrait. The space was rich and layered — an antique settee, deep red curtains, wood-paneled walls, a bed draped in jewel tones — the kind of environment that doesn't need much direction because it already has a feeling. Warm. Sensual. Completely unhurried.

Kelli moved through it all with an ease and confidence that made the whole session feel effortless. She is one of those subjects who understands instinctively how to be present in front of a camera — not performing, not posing, just existing beautifully in a space and letting the light find her.

My favorite frame from the entire session — one of my favorite frames I have ever made — is the one of her on the ornate gold settee. The lines of her body against that carved gilded frame, the Japanese folding screen behind her, heels in the air, completely at ease. It's one of those images where everything just lands exactly right — the light, the composition, the energy — and you know the moment you press the shutter that it's something special.

Boudoir sessions like this one are a reminder of something I believe deeply — that every body deserves to be photographed beautifully, confidently, and without apology. Kelli showed up for herself completely that afternoon and these images are the proof.
