Lacamas Lake Family Session | A Blended Family and the Best Golden Hour in Washington
Lacamas Lake Regional Park in Washington is one of those locations that just works for family sessions. The lake sits calm and glassy with the tree line reflecting perfectly in it. A warm wooden footbridge cuts through the middle of it all. Late summer light filters through Douglas firs and lands on everything golden. It is, in short, a dream.
Niki and Shaun came with their blended family of four. What I love most about this session is how relaxed everyone was. Nobody was stiff. Nobody was performing. Shaun grabbed Niki, and she laughed that full-body laugh of hers.
The light at golden hour by the lake was generous and warm, and the footbridge gave us a framing that I never get tired of. If you're looking for a Pacific Northwest family session location that photographs beautifully in every season, Lacamas Lake Regional Park belongs at the top of your list.
And if you want to see where this family's story started — check out Niki and Shaun's wedding at Rusty Barn Estates. It was, and remains, one of my favorites.
