Dreamy Boise Couples Boudoir Session at 26th Street Studio
There is something about a beautiful room and natural light that does something to people. The walls drop. The posing goes out the window. What's left is just two people, exactly as they are, and a photographer trying to keep up.
Stella and Nathaniel's session at 26th Street Studio in Boise, Idaho, was that kind of shoot from the very first frame. The space is everything you want for this kind of session — a canopy bed draped in white linen, warm Edison bulb light, fiddle leaf figs in the corner, brass sconces, gauzy curtains catching the breeze. It feels like someone's most beautiful version of a Sunday morning, and it sets a mood that basically does half my job for me.
Stella is magnetic in front of a camera. She has the kind of ease and presence that makes every frame feel intentional — whether she's laughing into the pillow, looking straight down the lens, or wearing a red set that absolutely stopped my heart when she walked out in it. Nathaniel is her perfect counterpart: warm, attentive, the kind of quiet confidence that reads beautifully in photos. Together, they have a natural chemistry that you simply cannot manufacture — you can only be lucky enough to photograph it when it's real.
We moved through the session organically, shifting from playful to tender to something a little more electric, letting the light and the space guide us. The canopy bed, the white walls, the plants — everything in that studio at 26th Street just works. If you're a photographer in the Boise area and you haven't shot there yet, add it to your list immediately. It is genuinely one of the best studio Airbnbs I've worked in.
