Baby Number Two | Andrea & Deion's Maternity Session | Westwood Hills Park Napa Valley

There are a handful of people I've had the privilege of photographing across multiple chapters of their lives, and Andrea and Deion sit at the very top of that list.

Engagement. Wedding. First pregnancy. Family photos. And now this — baby number two on the way, their daughter old enough to have a personality that takes up the entire frame, and all of us meeting up at Westwood Hills Park in Napa Valley like no time had passed at all. We've moved states between then and now. Didn't matter. Some people you just stay connected to.

Westwood Hills Park was a beautiful choice for this session. The eucalyptus grove gives you these tall, cathedral-like trees that make everything feel expansive and a little dreamy, and then you step out into the open fields and get that dry golden California grass that photographs like nothing else in summer. We moved through both and used every bit of it.

Andrea in a white off-shoulder gown, her daughter in a matching white dress, the two of them walking hand in hand down the trail — that image was always going to be something. But it was the little moments that made this session. The way their daughter draped herself over her dad's shoulders like she owned him completely, which she does. The quiet solo portrait of Andrea nestled into the rocks and greenery, just holding her bump and being still for a moment in the middle of all of it.

This is what I got into photography for. Not just the single sessions, but the full arc — watching a couple become a family, and then watching that family grow. Andrea and Deion, thank you for continuing to let me be part of it. I cannot wait to meet this baby.
