Hi, come in. This is where I share the full stories behind the sessions, and if you read enough of them, you'll start to notice something: a lot of the same names keep showing up. Engagements turn into weddings turn into maternity sessions turn into family photos with three kids and a dog. After fifteen years of this work, my favorite thing is that I rarely get to say goodbye to anyone. I just get to see them again in a new chapter. These are those chapters.

JP | Senior Photos at Lacamas Lake and the Liberty Theater, Camas, Washington
I met JP when he was a baby. I was a kid myself — barely old enough to babysit — holding him on the soccer sidelines while his dad coached my team. I watched him grow up in the way that you do when families stay in your orbit: in pieces, across years, at holidays and milestones and moments in between. I photographed his mom Niki's wedding day, where a teenage JP stood up and officiated the whole thing — which was one of the most unexpectedly moving things I've ever watched at a wedding. I've photographed their family in the years since. And now here we are: senior portraits. The baby on the sidelines is graduating. I don't know how time does what it does, but I'm really glad I've gotten to be around for so much of it.
Danielle | Senior Portraits Under the Arches of Cathedral Park in Portland, Oregon
Danielle is my cousin, and photographing her senior session was one of those jobs that didn't feel like a job at all. I've watched her grow up — and getting to be the one to document this chapter, at Cathedral Park under the iconic arches of the St. Johns Bridge with camellias in full bloom, was a genuine gift.
Aubrey | Senior Portraits | Metzler Park, Estacada, Oregon
Aubrey came to her senior session with multiple looks, a volleyball, and a letterman jacket full of pins that told the whole story of her high school years. We took everything to Metzler Park, a beautiful Clackamas County park tucked along Clear Creek south of Estacada — and the forest delivered on every single shot.
Golden Hour and the Foxes | Grant's Senior Session | Silverton, Oregon
Silverton, Oregon has a particular kind of beauty in the fall. The light comes in warm and low, the countryside opens up into something quiet and cinematic, and it turns out to be a pretty perfect place to photograph a high school football player wrapping up his senior year.
