Hi, come in. This is where I share the full stories behind the sessions, and if you read enough of them, you'll start to notice something: a lot of the same names keep showing up. Engagements turn into weddings turn into maternity sessions turn into family photos with three kids and a dog. After fifteen years of this work, my favorite thing is that I rarely get to say goodbye to anyone. I just get to see them again in a new chapter. These are those chapters.

A Wedding at Mt. Hood Meadows | Mt. Hood, Oregon
Some days the mountain is out and the whole world feels like it was built for exactly this moment. Jason and Ploy's wedding at Mt. Hood Meadows was one of those days — a radiant bride, Mt. Hood doing its most majestic thing, and an old college friend officiating the ceremony who I hadn't seen in years. The mountain delivered. So did everyone else.
A Wedding on the Oregon Coast | Inn at Spanish Head | Lincoln City, Oregon
Nearly twenty years ago I shared a tiny dorm apartment with some of the most remarkable women I've ever known. One by one I've photographed each of their weddings. Terralyn was there for all of them — and before she even found her person, she told me I'd be her photographer when the day came. That day came. And it was everything.
Australia meets Oregon - Two Hemispheres, One Orchard | A Hood River Wedding at Mt. View Orchards
Two people who flew from Australia to Oregon to get married in an apple orchard under the shadow of Mt. Hood — with a party bus, karaoke, Voodoo Donuts, and an after-party that turned into a full-on concert. Shelby and Damien's Hood River wedding was chaotic, joyful, and completely unforgettable. Some weddings you photograph. Some you live.
Backyard Wedding in Bend, Oregon with a Scottish Flair
A full-circle moment, a multicultural celebration, a groom in a kilt, rumplemint shots, a glittery outfit change, and a dance floor that absolutely did not survive the night. Ronnekia and Tyler's Bend, Oregon wedding was everything — and getting to be there for it was one of the greatest honors of my career.
Hoyt Arboretum Forest Elopement in Portland, Oregon
Sara has been one of my closest friends for over ten years. When she asked me to photograph her December elopement at Hoyt Arboretum in Portland, I said yes before she finished the sentence. Six of her favorite people, a redwood deck in the trees, dinner at Le Pigeon, and a bottle of wine they bought on their first date. This one was special.
Three Generations at Depoe Bay | Alex + Justin | Oregon Coast Family Session
When Alex and Justin made the trip from Nampa, Idaho to the Oregon Coast, they didn't come alone. They brought the whole crew: their kids, Alex's parents, and all the salt air and overcast light the Pacific could offer. This is what extended family photos were made for.
Desert Canyon, Mountain Lake, and a Rainstorm | Andrea + Deion's Oregon Engagement
There are sessions that change things. Andrea and Deion's engagement session at Smith Rock was one of them. We drove out to Bend together, found a storm rolling in over the canyon, and ended the day standing in a lake in the rain making images I still cannot stop thinking about. My camera did not fully recover. The photos were worth it.
Brand New | The Thornberry Family | Portland Newborn Session
There are sessions I walk away from and just feel it, the weight of something really good. The Thornberry newborn session in Portland was one of those. A tiny new person, bare winter trees, a wooden footbridge, and two people who could not stop smiling at the baby in their arms.
The Smallest Things Hold the Biggest Love | In-Home Family Session with Baby
Cameron and Brianna welcomed baby Emmitt into a home already full of warmth, and we were there to capture every quiet, unhurried moment of it. This is what a newborn session looks like when you let love lead.
Into the Woods, Into the Water | Kodie + Josh | Beverly Beach Couple's Session
Some couples just follow you home. I photographed Kodie and Josh's wedding in Boise, then moved back to my hometown of Portland, and the next thing I knew they were calling me up for a couple's session on the Oregon Coast. That is the kind of client relationship that makes this job everything.
Garrett & Emily | A Wedding in the Woods at Deep Woods Events
Some venues do the work for you. Deep Woods Events is one of them — towering conifers, ferns as far as you can see, and the kind of quiet that makes everything feel more sacred. Garrett and Emily got married in the middle of all of it, and I didn't want to leave.
Golden Hour and the Foxes | Grant's Senior Session | Silverton, Oregon
Silverton, Oregon has a particular kind of beauty in the fall. The light comes in warm and low, the countryside opens up into something quiet and cinematic, and it turns out to be a pretty perfect place to photograph a high school football player wrapping up his senior year.
The Beginning of Everything — Andrea & Deion's Wedding at Red Barn Villa
Some couples you photograph once and carry with you forever. Andrea and Deion are those people for me. Their wedding at Red Barn Villa in 2020 was one of the most joyful, full-of-life days I've ever had the privilege of being part of, and it turned out to be just the beginning.
Intimate Happy Valley Backyard Wedding | Sandra & Stanley's Covid Zoom Ceremony
Sandra and Stanley got married via Zoom from their Happy Valley, Oregon living room during covid, then stepped out for intimate neighborhood portraits beneath blooming dogwoods. A quiet, suburban wedding that proved smaller is never lesser.
The Table Flip Heard Round the Vineyard: Dan & Ashley's Wedding at La Belle Promenade and Carlton Grain Elevator, Oregon
I have photographed a lot of weddings. I have never photographed a bride flip a table. Until Ashley. And honestly, it might be the most romantic thing I have ever witnessed.
She Said Yes at Haystack Rock: A Surprise Proposal in Pacific City, Oregon
My favorite part of a surprise proposal shoot is the waiting. You find your spot, you stay very still, and you watch two people's lives change from a distance. This one, with Haystack Rock rising out of the waves behind them and a chocolate lab trotting circles around their feet, was one for the books.
Portland Winter Wedding at St. Michael's Lutheran Church | Abby + Darryl
Abby and Darryl said "I do" surrounded by Christmas trees, a packed church, and people who had been cheering for them their whole lives. For me, photographing this wedding wasn't just work, it was coming home.
Nobody Puts Damien in a Corner | Shelby + Damien's Engagement at Marchesi Vineyards
I met Shelby at her sister Steffanie's wedding years ago, and somewhere between that day and this one we became chosen family. When it was time to photograph Shelby's own engagement session, there was nowhere else I wanted to be. We went to the vineyards, we went to the waterfront, and then we recreated the Dirty Dancing lift. Gender swapped. And yes, it worked.
Tucked Into the Green — Samantha's Family Session on Private Property in Portland, Oregon
Portland does something to family photos that nowhere else can quite replicate. That deep, lush green everywhere, the soft overcast light, the feeling of being tucked away from the rest of the world. Samantha and her family gave me all of that. Plus a toddler with a smile so big it basically lit up the whole forest.
