Hi, come in. This is where I share the full stories behind the sessions, and if you read enough of them, you'll start to notice something: a lot of the same names keep showing up. Engagements turn into weddings turn into maternity sessions turn into family photos with three kids and a dog. After fifteen years of this work, my favorite thing is that I rarely get to say goodbye to anyone. I just get to see them again in a new chapter. These are those chapters.

The McLean House Portland | A Rainy, Joyful Wedding Day
Rachel and Dustin got married at The McLean House in Portland and it went a little something like this: private vows in the morning, a first look that made their photographer cry (that's me — I cried), surprise rain that turned into a tented garden ceremony with neon signage and blooming rhododendrons, Sizzle Pie pizza for the entire reception, a cake that did not survive the day, heartfelt toasts from people who really love these two, and dancing until it was over. The McLean House gardens were dripping and green and gorgeous, the bride was radiant, and the groom looked at her like she was the only person in the room. A perfect, imperfect Portland wedding day — and one of my favorites I've ever had the privilege of shooting.
A Perfect Summer Day on Hood Canal — Wedding at Alderbrook Resort & Spa
Nichole and Ash got married on a sun-drenched summer day at Alderbrook Resort & Spa on Hood Canal, with the water and the Olympics stretching out behind them and every detail thoughtfully, personally theirs — including custom coloring pages of their cat for guests to fill in during cocktail hour. It was warm, elegant, and completely them.
Wedding at Abernethy Center — Brunch, Dancing & a Vietnamese Tea Ceremony
Vincent and Kelly's wedding day started with a gazebo ceremony at Abernethy Center's Abigail's Garden, moved into a sunny brunch reception with banana foster pancakes and Pip's Original doughnuts, a shoe game that had everyone hollering, and a dance floor that didn't quit — then ended with a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony and gift exchange at a family home, surrounded by generations of people who love them. It was a full, layered, beautiful day, and I was so honored to be there for all of it.
Firs, Ferns & Willamette Valley Wine: Wedding at Parrett Mountain Cellars
Kelsey and Jesse got married on a misty autumn day at Parrett Mountain Cellars in the Oregon wine country — a small, intimate ceremony on the lawn beneath tall firs, portraits winding through the forest paths, and a warm reception in the tasting room with Willamette Valley wine poured all evening. It was quiet, intentional, and completely lovely.
A Surprise Proposal at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, Portland
Aidan thought she was getting family photos taken at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden in Portland. What she didn't know was that Richard had secretly flown in to surprise her with a proposal in front of her whole family. She said yes — and then they wandered one of Portland's most beautiful gardens as newly engaged, laughing and spinning under the trees.
The Fog, the Dunes, and the Bonfire: A Pelican Brewing Wedding in Pacific City, Oregon
Kristin and Eron got married barefoot on the beach in Pacific City as the morning fog rolled in off the Pacific, surrounded by their four sons, their flower-crowned dog, and the people who matter most. After exploring the dunes and sea caves for portraits, they celebrated with a surf and turf dinner at Pelican Brewing, lawn games on the patio, dancing, and a bonfire on the beach to end the night. It was the kind of wedding that feels less like an event and more like a really perfect day.
Love, Brunch & Voodoo Donuts: A McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse Wedding
Jess and Tracy got married at McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse on a bright, joyful day filled with a hallway ceremony, a Brandi Carlile processional, brunch catered by McMenamins, Voodoo Doughnut desserts, and enough kids to take down their photographer in a full dogpile. It was exactly as wonderful as it sounds.
Skamania Lodge Wedding in the Columbia River Gorge
Jillian and Ryan said "I do" at Skamania Lodge in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge — a day that started with private vows in the forest, moved to a sun-drenched ceremony with the Cascades as their backdrop, and ended with s'mores around the fire pit as the mountains faded into dusk. It was an intimate, joyful celebration filled with lawn games, heartfelt moments, and the kind of easy happiness that makes a wedding feel like the best party you've ever been to.
A McMenamins Edgefield Wedding in Portland Under the St. Johns Bridge & the Power Station Lights | A Portland Wedding
A sun-drenched ceremony in Cathedral Park beneath the St. Johns Bridge, portraits along the Willamette waterfront, and a reception in the warmly lit Power Station at McMenamins Edgefield. Monika and Jake's Portland wedding was rooted in family, heritage, and a love that has only grown stronger since — Monika is officially cancer free after sixteen rounds of chemo and two surgeries, and she has always looked exactly like someone who was going to make it through.
A Wedding at Black Pearl on the Columbia | Washougal, Washington
A Darth Vader entrance, pink crutches, elderly dogs with pearl leashes, mini disco balls in the bouquet and the centerpieces, a neon sweetheart table, and Logan's mom performing Dancing Queen in a feather boa for the karaoke kickoff. Logan and Anthony's wedding at Black Pearl on the Columbia was joyful, unexpected, and completely one of a kind from the first bubble to the last song.
Electric, Joyful & Completely Unforgettable | A Wedding at Bloc15 | Oakland
A stunning ceremony in front of floor-to-ceiling colorful canvases, an epic outfit change to a sheer lace embroidered jumpsuit with gold glitter boots, Chef Marky D in attendance, Steve Kerr on the dance floor, and a crowd that came to celebrate and never stopped. Camille and Azkia's wedding at Bloc15 in Oakland was one for the books.
Vow Exchange in Seattle | Seattle Chinese Garden, Staple & Fancy, and Karaoke
A bridal jumpsuit, a secret vow exchange under a Chinese pavilion, dinner at one of Seattle's best restaurants, and late night karaoke that nobody wanted to end. Rachel and Andrew surprised their closest friends with a wedding weekend before their family ceremony at Salish Lodge — and it was one of the most joyful, perfectly curated evenings I've ever had the privilege of documenting.
A Rainy & Rowdy Wedding at Whispering Trees Manor | Edinboro, Pennsylvania
The ceremony was completely soaked. The bridal party handed out beers from buckets instead of flowers. The father of the bride played drums for the reception band. And somewhere in the middle of the night, the groom's brother appeared in a full Fireball whiskey suit. Jordan and Holly Rae's wedding at Whispering Trees Manor was rainy, rowdy, and one of the most joyful days I've ever photographed.
A Colorful, Joyful Wedding at The Troutdale House | Troutdale, Oregon
A custom floral embroidered suit, a locket tucked into the bouquet, disco ball cake toppers, a full tower of colorful donuts, and a dance floor that never quit. Megan and Chris's wedding at The Troutdale House in Troutdale, Oregon was colorful, inclusive, joyful, and completely, unapologetically themselves from the first frame to the last.
Pirate Punk & Peacock Feathers | A Music Festival Wedding in the Mendocino Woods
Ancient redwoods, black wedding gowns, dark cascading bouquets with peacock feathers, multiple live bands including the groom's own pirate punk folk band, and a campfire that lasted well into the night. Amy and John's gothic music festival wedding in the Mendocino woods was one of the most singular, joyful, completely unforgettable days I've ever had the privilege of photographing.
Becoming | A Maternity Session at Camassia Natural Area | West Linn, Oregon
Some clients find you at the beginning of their story. Erin and LeFoster found me at one of the quietest chapters of theirs — a courthouse wedding, just the two of them making it official. Years later they reached out again. They were expecting. Photographing the same two people on the threshold of marriage and now on the edge of parenthood, at the stunning Camassia Natural Area in West Linn, was one of the real honors of this work.
Confident, Sensual & Completely Herself | A Portland Boudoir Session
Warm light, ornate furniture, velvet and gold, and one of my favorite frames I have ever made. Kelli's boudoir session at a stunning private residence in Portland was sensual, confident, and completely, beautifully her. This is what it looks like when someone shows up for themselves entirely.
Sweetgrass & Vows | A Wedding at Red Barn Villa | Oregon City, Oregon
A private vow exchange in the forest before the ceremony, braided sweetgrass bouquets, two Indigenous cultures honored with intention and pride, and a patio reception with tacos from Poblano Pepper PDX that nobody wanted to end. Celena and Tommy Ghost Dog's wedding at Red Barn Villa was layered, meaningful, and one of the most beautiful days I've had the privilege of documenting.
A Mount Rainier Sunrise Engagement Session | Noble Knob Trail, Washington
A pre-sunrise hike up Noble Knob, Mount Rainier filling the sky, a shoe swap from hiking boots to heels at the summit, and a dog named Rainey who was completely unbothered by all of it. Nichole and Ash's engagement session was exactly the kind of morning that reminds you why you set the alarm.
A Winery Wedding at Indian Creek | Kuna, Idaho
A stunning second-generation winery outside Boise, dahlias in every direction, two incredibly creative people completely in their element — and a Pulp Fiction first dance. Misty and Hudson's wedding at Indian Creek Winery was one of those days that reminded me exactly why I love this work.
