Hi, come in. This is where I share the full stories behind the sessions, and if you read enough of them, you'll start to notice something: a lot of the same names keep showing up. Engagements turn into weddings turn into maternity sessions turn into family photos with three kids and a dog. After fifteen years of this work, my favorite thing is that I rarely get to say goodbye to anyone. I just get to see them again in a new chapter. These are those chapters.

Through Sickness and Through Health: How Seth Became Keisha's Perfect Match

When Keisha's family gathered in a Portland hospital waiting room, they didn't know whether to cry or celebrate. They did both. Because on the other side of those OR doors, her husband Seth — her partner, her person — was giving her the most literal gift a spouse can give: a piece of himself. I was honored to document every moment of this extraordinary day.

Michael & Svetlana | Duniway Hotel & Hoyt Arboretum Microwedding | Portland Elopement Photographer

A silver sequin gown. A rain-soaked wooden deck in the redwoods of Hoyt Arboretum. Mini champagne bottles clinked among family and friends. And then Cathedral Park, where the Gothic arches of the St. Johns Bridge — Portland's only steel suspension bridge — made the most extraordinary backdrop I could have asked for. Michael and Svetlana's elopement was exactly the kind of day that reminds me why I love this city.

Barefoot in the Park Blocks | Rachel & Ryan | Arlington Club Portland Wedding

Rachel walked down the aisle to rainforest sounds. Her daughters stood beside her as bridesmaids. And after the ceremony at the Arlington Club, Ryan carried her heels while she danced barefoot through Portland's Park Blocks — the same stretch of trees where they used to walk at the beginning of everything.

Redwood Courtyard Vows & Far Niente Sunset | Kevin & Amy | Napa Valley Wedding Photographer

I've known Amy since she was in middle school. Watching her walk through that redwood courtyard at St. John's Lutheran in Napa — the church where she went to school, with her dog in the front row and Kevin waiting at the end of the aisle — was one of those moments I felt all the way through. And then we got a day-after session at Far Niente Winery, and it just kept getting better.

From Kubota Garden to the Metropolist | Chris & Kayla | Seattle Wedding Photographer

Instead of a unity candle or sand ceremony, Chris and Kayla melted chocolate and dipped rice krispy treats — one for every guest in the room. I have photographed a lot of weddings and I have never seen anything like it. That moment alone would have made this day unforgettable. The Kubota Garden portraits and the Metropolist ceremony were just everything else.

Dark & Ethereal Oregon Coast Portraits | Pacific Northwest Photographer

A gothic gown. Cold Pacific waves. Haystack Rock disappearing into the fog. Jessica showed up to Cannon Beach ready to walk straight into the Oregon Coast and give me everything — and that is exactly what she did. Two outfit changes, one perfect sunset, and some of the most cinematic frames I have taken on the Oregon Coast. This is why I will never stop saying yes to creative portrait sessions on the Pacific Northwest coast.

Baby Number Two | Andrea & Deion's Maternity Session | Westwood Hills Park Napa Valley

Some clients become something more than clients. Andrea and Deion are that for me. I've photographed their engagement, their wedding, their first maternity session, and now this — baby number two on the way, their daughter holding her mama's hand on a trail at Westwood Hills Park in Napa Valley. Some things you just don't take for granted.

Bubble Exit & Navy Blues | Chelsi & Codey's Still Water Hollow Wedding

Chelsi and Codey chose the breathtaking grounds of Still Water Hollow in Boise, Idaho for their wedding day — and every detail told a love story worth remembering. Codey stood tall in his Navy dress blues beside a 125-year-old white chapel, while Chelsi's red-laced corset gown and stunning plus size silhouette stopped everyone in their tracks. From their quiet first look among the weathered wood walls to a joyful bubble exit surrounded by every person they love, this was a wedding full of feeling. As their Idaho wedding photographer, I was honored to capture every single second of it.

Urban Family Session in Boise, Idaho | Murals & Golden Light

Kimmy, Keaton, and their daughter Poppy wandered through downtown Boise for an evening family session full of murals, brick walls, golden light, and a toddler who spent most of the time swinging between her parents' arms with her feet off the ground and a grin that could stop traffic. This is what a good family session looks like — relaxed, real, and a little bit chaotic in the best possible way.

A Texas Family on the Oregon Coast | Newport Beach Session

A mom and her three grown kids, their partners, and one curly-haired granddaughter in pink rain boots — visiting from Texas and spending an evening on the Oregon Coast at Newport. This is what extended family sessions look like when everyone is genuinely glad to be in the same place at the same time: real laughter, quiet moments between a mom and her daughters, a toddler who ran slightly ahead of everyone the whole time, and a sky that couldn't decide between blue and gold.

Sunset Light & Rumpled Sheets | A Couples Boudoir Session

Stella reached out asking for a creative boudoir session that celebrated Black love — real, intimate, and shot in their own space. Sunset light streamed through the bedroom window, warm and golden, and what unfolded was exactly what she envisioned: soft, electric, and completely theirs. This is what it looks like when love gets documented honestly.

A Snowy Cabin Wedding in Cascade, Idaho | Justin & Brianna

Justin and Brianna got married on a snow-covered cabin porch in Cascade, Idaho, surrounded by snow-heavy pines, their closest family, and their border collie — who served as ring bearer and took the job very seriously. The ceremony was intimate and full of laughter, the bouquet was simple and perfect, and afterward they posed between two snowmobiles with a Just Married banner in the snow. A winter mountain wedding that was completely, entirely them.

Wahclella Falls Maternity Session | Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

Before the shoot, Brianna told me she was going to be in Vogue one day. She wasn't wrong. After I submitted this maternity portfolio from Wahclella Falls in the Columbia River Gorge, one of her photos was published by Vogue — and I FaceTimed her immediately to catch her reaction. She hiked to the base of one of my favorite waterfalls in the Pacific Northwest in a golden yellow lace gown and looked every bit the editorial model she is.

Willamette Valley Vineyard Wedding at La Belle Promenade | Oregon

Tyson and Heather were married at La Belle Promenade Vineyard — Flâneur Wines' estate in Oregon's Chehalem Mountains, one of just six weddings hosted there each year. A sun-soaked outdoor ceremony beneath an ancient oak tree, family gathered in prayer around them, dinner by Red Hills Market, a first dance at golden hour with the Willamette Valley stretching out behind them. Oregon wine country at its absolute finest.

Lavender, Lace & Gray Gables Estate | Wedding in Portland, Oregon

Corwin and Kabbiba's wedding at Gray Gables Estate in Portland was a full, joyful celebration from start to finish — a lavender and white palette, a breathtaking bride in lace and a floral crown headpiece, an outdoor ceremony under white draped columns, and a reception that ended with a dance floor that absolutely would not quit. This is what it looks like when a room is full of people who are genuinely, completely happy to be there.

Timberline Lodge | A Mount Hood Wedding That Almost Didn't Happen

Their original photographer got COVID. I got a call. Matt and Lindsey were married at Timberline Lodge on the slopes of Mount Hood in 2020 — a small, intimate ceremony on a brisk and windy alpine day, with paper flower bouquets from Etsy, a handful of the people they loved most, and one of the most iconic backdrops in the Pacific Northwest. It was not the wedding they had planned. It was better.

Holding Space | Portland Family Photography Through Childhood Leukemia

I've known Amanda since we were kids playing soccer together. I've photographed her engagement, her wedding, her family — and when her son Levi was diagnosed with leukemia as a toddler, I was there for those seasons too. This is a post about Levi, about his brother Wyatt who wanted to name him Monster Truck, about a family who loved loudly and completely — and about why preserving these memories is the most serious and sacred thing I do.

The Edge of the Pacific | A Maternity Session at Sutro Baths

Keshiia and Kevin chose one of San Francisco's most iconic and atmospheric locations for their maternity session — the ruins of Sutro Baths at golden hour. Crumbling stone, tidal pools, crashing waves, and warm late-day light made for a session that was equal parts romantic and moody. Baby is almost here, and these two are more than ready.
